What was your reaction to receiving a College Match scholarship?

Being matched with a QuestBridge Partner College has been the single most amazing accomplishment for me. When I discovered I was receiving a full ride, I was both speechless and motionless. After a long moment of contemplating, I began jumping around my room like a crazy person. It was the most amazing feeling in my life.

What challenges did you expect to encounter in applying to college?

Applying to college is an expensive process as you need to send scores, financial aid documents, and application fee. I was expecting to apply to a few universities that did not charge as much as 'Good Schools.'

What were your college plans before you heard of QuestBridge?

As a low-income student, my college opportunities were limited. Before QuestBridge, my plans consisted of enrolling in local college where I would not get the full diverse learning environment experience. QuestBridge, however, gave me this opportunity to attend one of our nations’ top colleges and get the full college experience I have always dreamed of.

What are the benefits of applying to college through QuestBridge? Why should other students facing financial limitations apply to college through QuestBridge?

The benefits of applying through QuestBridge are endless. First of all, the application is free. Furthermore, the application allows one to better describe himself which gives him/her a better opportunity for admissions. Lastly, QuestBridge gives students two chances to attend our nation's top universities.
