Please submit these materials as soon as you are notified you are a Finalist.

College Match Required Application and Financial Aid Materials

1. Official Test Scores (optional)

Bowdoin is a test optional colleges. Read more about Bowdoin's Test Optional Policy to decide your test plan. 

Students participating in the Match process need not submit official scores to Bowdoin College. If you would like to suppress your scores from your College Match application, please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Those who are matched with Bowdoin should send an official score report in December to verify the information on the QuestBridge application.

If submitting scores, request official scores from the College Board and/or ACT. Do NOT use the rush reporting service.

Mail or fax to the Admissions Office (see Contact Info below). Ensure that the cover sheet also includes your QuestBridge ID number.

If your parents own a business or farm

  • Submit the CSS Financial Aid/PROFILE Business/Farm Supplement


If your parents are divorced or separated:

  • Your noncustodial parent must submit the online Noncustodial PROFILE using the login ID and password that will be emailed to you when you complete the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE.
  • Your noncustodial parent must also submit copies of their 2014 federal tax returns with all schedules, attachments, W-2 Forms, and other earnings statements. Submit directly to Bowdoin using this cover sheet.
  • If you do not have any contact with your noncustodial parent, then you may submit a request to waive the requirement of their financial information. Download the Noncustodial Parent Waiver Petition.
4. A copy of your parents’ 2014 federal income tax returns

Signed, with all schedules, attachments, W-2 forms, and other earnings statements. Include personal and corporate/partnership tax returns. Also submit copies of your parents' recent paystubs or other verification of current-year income.  Submit your parents' financial documents directly to Bowdoin using this cover sheet.

Note: If admitted to Bowdoin, you are required to send to Bowdoin a copy of your 2014 U.S. Income Tax through the College Board's IDOC service. You will receive notification from the College Board in early 2016 regarding documents required for IDOC.

 


Options following the Match for:

Early Decision Finalists who do not match may apply Early Decision to Bowdoin through Early Decision II.

Regular Decision Follow the instructions below to apply through Regular Decision.

 


Regular Decision Requirements:

Step 1: Select Bowdoin on the QuestBridge Regular Decision Form on your Application Management page between November 5 - December 9. Only check the box if you fully intend to submit a complete application to Bowdoin.
Step 2:             Submit all additional required application and financial materials to Bowdoin according to your status by the deadlines listed below.
