National College Match Application Requirements
for College Match Finalists

This page is in the process of being updated for the 2014 National College Match and the requirements may change.
Please check back in mid-August for updated information.

If you have ranked Bowdoin College as one of your choices for the QuestBridge National College Match, the following Application and Financial Aid materials must be submitted to the college as soon as you are notified of your finalist status on October 22. It is highly recommended that you begin this process in early October.

  • The deadline to submit these requirements is November 4, 2013.
  • If you do not submit the required materials by November 4, 2013, Bowdoin may choose not to consider your application for the College Match.
  • If you are not selected as a National College Match Finalist, please review the college-specific requirements for QuestBridge students who wish to apply through the Regular Decision process.

Those who are matched with Bowdoin should send an official score report in December to verify the information on the QuestBridge application.

If your parents are separated or divorced:

a. Your noncustodial parent must submit the online Noncustodial PROFILE using the login ID and password that will be emailed to you when you complete the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE.

b. If you do not have any contact with your noncustodial parent, then you may submit a request to waive the requirement of their financial information. Your request must include a statement from a third party who can verify your situation. The Noncustodial Parent Waiver Petition is available online at http://www.questbridge.org/images/ncp_waiver.pdf.

A copy of your parents' 2012 federal income tax returns

A complete copy of your parent's taxes (2012) are required ONLY if they filed a business tax return (i.e. Schedules C, E, F, Form 1065, Form 1120 and Form 1120S).  Submit your parents' 2012 taxes directly to Bowdoin using this cover sheet.

Note: If admitted to Bowdoin, all students are required to send us a copy of your 2013 U.S. Income Tax through the College Board's IDOC service.  You will receive notification form the College Board in early 2014 regarding documents required for IDOC.

Regular Decision Application Requirements

You may apply to Bowdoin via Regular Decision by completing the steps below.

  • Request Regular Decision application forwarding on your "Application Management" page between December 2 and December 12.
  • Submit all required additional materials depending on your status below.
  • All additional materials are due by the Bowdoin Regular Decision deadline, and you will be notified of the admissions decision according to their normal deadlines.
