National College Match Requirements for:
Finalists who rank University of Chicago

Deadline: November 1st
Please submit these materials as soon as you are notified you are a Finalist.

College Match Required Application and Financial Aid Materials
1. The Common Application or the Universal Application, with the UChicago Supplement AND all supporting documents Instructions for the Common Application:
The Common Application must be completed online at the Common Application website. Submit along with official transcripts, Secondary School Report, and two teacher recommendations. The UChicago Writing Supplement (available through your UChicago account or the Common Application website) requires one extended essay of your choice from a list of five, and one short essay on why you woud like to attend the University of Chicago.

Select the "Early Action" option on the Common Application and the UChicago Writing Supplement.

UChicago does not charge a college application fee for students applying for need-based financial aid. Please indicate that you intend to apply for need-based financial aid on the application.

The Universal Application must be completed online at the Universal Application website. Submit along with official transcripts, Secondary School Report, and two teacher recommendations. Select the "Early Action" option on the Universal Application.

2. Official Test Scores

Request official scores from the College Board and/or ACT as soon as you are notified that you are a Finalist. Do NOT use the rush reporting service.

UChicago requires the SAT or the ACT (Writing not required). SAT Subject Test are not required.

TOEFL or IELTS is required for non-native English speakers who have not spent at least two years in an English-language school.

UChicago Financial Aid Worksheet For UChicago Aid

This is a short, free online worksheet available through your UChicago Account.

The College Board's CSS PROFILE can be substituted for this worksheet.** (The College Board charges a fee to use this form.)

FAFSA For Federal Aid

School code: 001774

The FAFSA is available January 1, 2015 at FAFSA.gov, but you can request the required PIN now at pin.ed.gov.

5. A copy of your parents’ 2013 federal income tax returns

Signed, with all schedules and W-2 forms. Include personal and corporate partnership tax returns. Submit directly to UChicago using this cover sheet.

Mail or fax to the Office of College Aid (see contact info in Additional Info below).

Early Action Finalists who do not match will automatically receive an Early Action admission decision.

 


Regular Decision Requirements for:
Finalists who ranked University of Chicago (but did not match to a binding college)

Remember to select UChicago on the Regular Decision Form through your QuestBridge account from December 1-11. Only check this off if you fully intend to submit a complete application to UChicago (see requirements below).
