What Quest Scholars say about their favorite classes...

“I highly recommend that everyone take an IntroSem [Introductory Seminar]. Having only 15 people in a class makes it much more interactive and you learn a great deal from the professor. Mine in particular dealt with product design and we worked in small 3-4 person groups to solve abstract problems . . . On our first assignment, my group designed a hypothetical device that looked like a bluetooth, functioned like a PDA, and would help people with memory loss, particularly the older generations. Creating a mock product and a presentation was thought-provoking and made me realize once again why I love Stanford so much.”
- Francisco Olmos, Mechanical Engineering major, Class of 2009

What QB Scholars say about their internships...

“I work as a lab assistant at Stanford’s Earthquake Engineering Laboratory. It’s a great job because it gives me a chance to contribute to worthwhile research while earning enough money [through work study] to meet my tuition fees and have some spending money.”
- Terrance Surratt, Chemical Engineering major, Class of 2009
