What QB Scholars say about housing...

“Freshmen dorms in the frosh quad can be noisy with dirty bathrooms and small rooms—but it’s also very fun to interact with other freshmen. People do crazy stuff in the dorms. After freshman year, the dorms get significantly better.”
- John Vu, Class of 2009

“I would have liked to have known that there are co-ed dorms. It seems a little silly, but I was very surprised once I arrived at Williams. I’m fine with it, but it was a shock. . . The dorms at Williams are very good overall. The entry system is for first-years is an amazing part of freshman year. Your entrymates become a family away from home.”
-Kristen Emhoff, Class of 2009

What QB Scholars say about the food...

“The food is good enough, and the meal plan is great. It’s three meals a day, all you can eat, plus 10 guest meals for visitors or friends who forgot their meal card . . . There are vegetarian options, and even vegan options. There is kosher food available, and non-dairy items like soy yogurt. Really, compared to a lot of schools our food is fabulous. There are usually several kinds of meats, a salad bar, bread, vegetables, soup, fruit, ice cream and other desserts. There are themed diners and sometimes they cook things from recipes submitted by students. They are open to comments. There is also a snack bar fro those who want to eat later, which has things like hamburgers, chicken fingers, and milkshakes.”
- Anna Hernandez-French, Class of 2009

“Not much variety—but otherwise nothing to complain about. The dining halls have great atmospheres.”
- Kenny Yim, Class of 2009

What QB Scholars say about what they do on weekends...

“Well Williams is isolated, so I’m almost always on campus for the weekend. There are lots of parties with dancing, and there’s Images, the movie theater, which costs $4, and $2 on Tuesday. There was a concert in the Spring, there have been fantastic lectures, and there are often plays and performances by the many groups on campus, such as the a Capella singers, the dance groups, and others.”
- Anna-Hernandez-French, Class of 2009

“Hike/bike in the many acres of beautiful college land. Hang out with friends.”
- John Vu, Class of 2009

“I visited art museums and attended plays and lectures, enjoying the many cultural opportunities that was an unexpected bonus to small, rural campus life. Williamstown is in the middle of nowhere which only adds to the retreat-like atmosphere that is really refreshing after a busy week.”
- Kenny Yim, Class of 2009
