About Us

"Over the summer I spent at Harvard through the QuestBridge College Prep Scholarship, I learned more than just the material from my classes. I learned what it is like living away from home, in a place where people are happy to spend an hour debating string theory. Not only were the professors captivating and intellectually stimulating, the students were brilliant as well. I have now seen what a real academic world is like, and I am dedicated to meeting the challenge to expand my horizons."

COLLEGE SUMMER PROGRAM INFORMATION

Emory University Pre-College Program

Emory Pre-College students take an intensive 2 week course selected from subjects ranging from Shakespeare to Neurology. A small number of students will be contacted in April to submit additional information to be considered for admission to Emory's Pre-College Program. The QuestBridge College Prep Scholarship will cover all program expenses, including room & board, travel, books, and tuition.

The program has two sessions:

  • Session A runs from June 28 to July 11, 2009

Harvard University Secondary School Program

Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts

QuestBridge will work with the Harvard Secondary School Program (SSP) to select students based on academic accomplishment and financial need. Harvard SSP students can take courses ranging from "Neurobiology" to "Shakespeare" and attend College Fairs and College Prep Workshops. When not in class, Harvard SSP students can spend their free time exploring Harvard's extensive libraries and museums, performing in the SSP talent show, playing intramural sports, or attending free films, lectures, and concerts.

Students selected for Harvard SSP through the QuestBridge College Prep Scholarship program will not need to submit a separate SSP application.

However, because admission through QuestBridge is highly selective, students interested in attending the Harvard SSP regardless of QuestBridge's scholarship offer should consider applying directly to the SSP as a backup option.

The QuestBridge College Prep Scholarship, in combination with SSP financial aid, will fully cover the costs of tuition, room & board, travel, and books.

The program will run from June 22 to August 7, 2009.

More information on the Secondary School Program is available on the Harvard website:
