About Us

"As a QuestBridge applicant, I received personalized attention that I may not have obtained without the program. Despite the fact that there were thousands of applicants, I felt that QuestBridge genuinely wanted to see each applicant succeed, and that the team would do anything that they could to be of assistance in that matter."

Further QuestBridge Opportunities

Students study in the Main Quad at Stanford University, Stanford, California

The QuestBridge College Prep Scholarship is a gateway to further opportunities that QuestBridge offers to outstanding low-income students in the college admissions process and beyond. Please see below for information about the National College Match program for high school seniors and the Quest Scholars Network for QuestBridge finalists admitted to our partner colleges through either Early or Regular Decision.

QuestBridge National College Match Program

The College Prep Scholarship awards are designed to prepare students to be competitive applicants to the QuestBridge National College Match program at the start of their senior year. The National College Match connects high-achieving low-income students with admission and full scholarships to QuestBridge’s 27 partner colleges. The QuestBridge National College Match program consists of two parts:

  1. QuestBridge College Match

The College Match pairs outstanding low-income students with early admission and full four-year scholarships to leading colleges.

    • College Match scholarships cover tuition, room, and board, worth up to $200,000. All College Match scholarships are loan-free.

    • Most QuestBridge partner college include books and travel in their scholarship packages and automatically renew the scholarship for all four years of college.

  2. QuestBridge Regular Decision

Qualified students can also apply to our partner colleges for free via the regular admissions process, using their QuestBridge application. Our application is tailored to enable low-income students to highlight their successes and the obstacles they have overcome.

In 2009:

  • 268 students were offered admission and full scholarships through the QuestBridge College Match.

  • Over 800 additional QuestBridge applicants were accepted by our partner colleges through the Regular Decision process with generous financial aid.

Quest Scholars Network

National College Match applicants who gain admission to our partner colleges will join a national community of hundreds of Quest Scholars who are as committed to helping others as they are to their own academic excellence and professional aspirations.

When Quest Scholars arrive on campus to begin their freshman year, they will be invited to join or help start the college’s Quest Scholars chapter. The campus chapters are designed as communities where students with similar backgrounds and interests can help one another thrive at selective colleges.

In addition to campus chapters, the Quest Scholars Network offers various other opportunities:

  • Leadership Retreats: Leadership Retreats at Stanford and Yale provide an opportunity to get to know other Quest Scholars and build leadership skills.

  • Summer Service Awards: Grants are available to fund Quest Scholars' summer projects that demonstrate a commitment to the Quest ideals of scholarship, leadership, and service.

  • Professional opportunities: Through QuestBridge's partnerships with employers such as The Wall Street Journal, Quest Scholars have access to internships and career mentoring.

  • Giving back: Quest Scholars can serve as Quest Ambassadors to help younger students navigate the college admissions process.
