Financial Aid

Emory's College Match Scholarship Package Details

Emory is committed to awarding aid based on financial need determined by a thorough review of each family's circumstances. Financial need is assessed using institutional methodology and the 568 Consensus Approach. Education is the primary responsibility of the student and family. Emory will award financial aid to supplement, not replace, the family's ability to pay. Our goal is to assist as many families as possible in a fair and equitable manner while meeting demonstrated need. Aid packages must be renewed every year.

Summer Work Contribution
The summer work contribution is the portion of a student's summer work income that is expected to be used for college expenses. The summer work contribution is not billed by the college and is often used to subsidize travel or personal expenses. Students should plan to work during the summer before freshman year to meet this earnings requirement.

Outside Scholarships
Outside scholarships may be used to reduce the student summer work contribution. Scholarships exceeding $1,550 will reduce the Emory grant, dollar for dollar.

Health Insurance
Emory requires all students to have health insurance, either through their parents or another plan. If student is not covered by a parental plan, the Emory grant will be increased to cover the cost of student insurance.
