"Before QuestBridge, I was considering colleges close to home that I could afford based on local scholarships and federal aid. However, after hearing of QuestBridge, I started to dream bigger, coming to understand that acceptance to amazing colleges was not only within my grasp, but financially feasible as well."

Standardized Testing

Standardized tests are an important part of your National College Match application. You must include your standardized tests scores, including SAT Reasoning & Subject scores and ACT scores, in your online application, and you must also submit copies of your score reports as verification. Please note that each of our partner colleges has standardized test requirements you must fulfill in order to be fully considered for admission to that school. Most of our partner colleges at minimum require the SAT Reasoning test or the ACT with Writing.

Please review the testing requirements in the table below for the colleges you are interested in.

For instructions on submitting your official test scores to the colleges if you become a finalist or apply for Regular Decision, please refer to the College Match Requirements for Finalists or Regular Decision Requirements page.

Important Information Regarding Test Scores

  • QuestBridge will accept any test scores that you receive prior to the National College Match application deadline of September 30, 2011. If you expect to receive scores after September 30, please list your testing date(s) on the "Testing Information" page of the application, leaving the score fields blank. If you are selected as a finalist and want to have your new test scores considered for the College Match process by the colleges you have ranked, you should request that the College Board and/or ACT forward your scores directly to those colleges. Any testing done after October will be considered only in the Regular Decision process.
  • If the colleges you are interested in require SAT Subject Tests and you have not yet taken them, you are still allowed to rank those colleges and can be selected as a finalist. You should plan to take the necessary tests in October and then submit the scores directly to the colleges for consideration in the College Match process if you are selected as a finalist. If you do not take the tests in time to send your scores to the colleges for the November 1 deadline, you may keep the college(s) on your ranking list, but please be aware that your application is unlikely to receive full consideration by the college(s) for the College Match.
