Policy Regarding Outside scholarships
Haverford will use a portion of any outside scholarships received to reduce the work-study requirement. Please visit http://www.haverford.edu/financialaid/policies/need.php for the full explanation of Haverford's policy on outside scholarships.
Policy on Health Insurance
Haverford requires all students to have health insurance, either through their parents or another plan. If a student is not covered by a parental plan, contact the Admission Office for a referral to our Health Services Department which will work out the proper coverage.
Other Details
The expected summer work contribution for the 2nd – 4th years is $2,300; the expected work-study contribution for the 2nd – 4th years is $2,300.
The required fees above include an orientation fee that is only applied in a student's first year.
Students are expected to contribute 25% of their personal savings toward college expenses. This contribution will decrease the amount of the Haverford grant dollar for dollar.
Requirements Associated with Maintaining this Award
As long as the student remains eligible for need-based aid, this award will not change during the student's entire enrollment at Haverford.
