National College Match Application Requirements
for College Match Finalists

 

If you have ranked Northwestern University as one of your choices for the QuestBridge National College Match, the following Application and Financial Aid materials must be submitted to the college as soon as you are notified of your finalist status. It is highly recommended to begin this process in early October.

  • The deadline to submit these requirements is November 1, 2012.
  • If you do not submit the required materials by November 1, 2012, Northwestern may choose not to consider your application for the College Match.
  • If you are not selected as a National College Match Finalist, please review the college-specific requirements for QuestBridge students who wish to apply through the Regular Decision process.

Official test scores
If official test scores are included on your official high school transcript, you do not need to submit any additional test score information to Northwestern. If official test scores are not included on your official high school transcript, please request official score reports from the College Board and/or ACT as soon as you are notified of your QuestBridge finalist status on October 22. You should not use the "rush reporting" service.

A copy of your parents' 2011 federal income tax returns (signed, with all schedules, attachments, W-2s, and other earnings statements). Include personal and corporate/partnership tax returns. Submit directly to Northwestern using this cover sheet. Mail to:

The CSS Financial Aid/PROFILE Business/Farm Supplement, if your parents own a business or farm.
4.

If your parents are separated or divorced:

a. Your noncustodial parent must submit the online Noncustodial PROFILE using the login ID and password that will be emailed to you when you complete the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE.

b. Your noncustodial parent must also submit copies of their 2011 federal tax returns with all schedules, attachments, W-2s, and other earnings statements. Submit directly to Northwestern using this cover sheet.

c. If you do not have any contact with your noncustodial parents, then you may submit a request to waive the requirement of their financial information. Your request must include a statement from a third party who can verify your situation. The Noncustodial Waiver Petition is available online at http://www.questbridge.org/images/ncp_wiaver.pdf.

Regular Decision Application Requirements

You may apply to Northwestern via Regular Decision by completing the steps below.

  • Request Regular Decision application forwarding on your "Application Management" page between December 1st and December 14th.
  • Submit all required additional materials. Required materials may range from submitting official transcripts to emailing the college's admissions office to submitting the Common Application.
  • All additional materials are due by the Northwestern Regular Decision deadline, and you will be notified of the admissions decision according to their normal deadlines.

    Each of our partner colleges has different requirements for standardized tests that students must take in order to be considered for admission.
