You can get an idea of the financial aid package you might receive by using the Princeton Financial Aid Estimator. The Estimator is a convenient calculator based on Princeton's actual financial aid formula. If you provide accurate information about your family's finances, the estimated award figured for you will be very realistic.
The Princeton award for students who we have determined to be economically disadvantaged is shown below. Even if your family does not fall into this category, keep in mind that Princeton provides generous no-loan packages to students from a broad range of financial circumstances.

This is an example of a typical financial award for a low-income student. Actual amounts may vary.
Outside Scholarships
Outside scholarships can be applied to the work-study requirement and then the summer work contribution. Scholarships that exceed the earnings requirements can be used toward the one-time purchase of a personal computer. Additional scholarships will be used to reduce the Princeton grant.
Health Insurance
Princeton requires all students to have health insurance, either through a parent or another plan. If the student is not covered by a parental plan, the Princeton grant will be increased to pay for the $1,620 Princeton student health plan.
Other Details
Students are expected to contribute 5% of their personal savings toward college expenses. This contribution will decrease the amount of the Princeton grant.
A travel allowance will be determined by Princeton based on student location The actual travel allowance may be different than the average amount listed here, affecting the amount of the Princeton grant.
