A basic, “all bases covered” overview of the entire application process. A great place to start to get your mind going.

Similar to the College Board’s guide, this guide offers more concise overview of the application process.

Princeton Review's Counselor-O-Matic
The Counselor-O-Matic has you input a variety of your own information to create an overview of the colleges you may want to attend.

Estimated Family Contribution Calculator
This calculator is built on the same formula that the Department of Education uses to calculated your Estimated Family Contribution. The lower your EFC, the greater the aid you will receive from private colleges.

This site has a great resource called “Ask Gen and Kelly,” where you can find a great Q and A section that has been broken up by categories.

A is for Admission by Michele Hernandez
Michele, once the assistant director of admissions at Dartmouth, offers the reader a concise overview of the admissions process and also provides a formula to calculate an “Admissions Index.” This is reportedly the index that some colleges use to calculate the strength of an applicant.
