Yasmin Navarro has always been an outspoken advocate of all that needs help around her. Passionate about expressing herself through words, she strives to develop her writing and language skills to evoke the strong emotions racing through her mind as she sets pen to paper. Second to her love of writing is her avid participation in the arts. Serving as property mistress in this year’s play and as a delegate for the Youth and Government tournament, acting and public speaking are Yasmin's chances to unwind and convey her ideas to large crowds. When thinking of the future, a quote from the Voices of Africa founder, Babatunde Olatunji definitely comes to mind: "Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift, that is why we call it the present." This quote embodies Yasmin's desire to change the world now, through any medium of education.
