Edner Paul was born in St-Marc, a small city in Haiti, where he became very fond of playing soccer. His childhood dream was to actually try to achieve something he could not even imagine at the time, and now this dream seems to be coming alive. The only opportunity he had was to focus solely on education, made possible by the hard work of his mother. He and his family came to the United States in March 2005 with the hope of having a better life. Adjusting to a new environment has been difficult, but Edner constantly tries to expand his knowledge and has now developed a passion for poetry and tries to connect with nature in particular. He also continues to work hard in school, even when the odds are not in his favor, and his affinity for school and knowledge only grow stronger. Now, he is excited to go to MIT and is glad that the school has chosen him to be part of its community. I think therefore his Heartsoul will live on.
