Finalists who rank Swarthmore College

Deadline: November 1st
Please submit these materials as soon as you are notified you are a Finalist.

College Match Required Application and Financial Aid Materials
1. Official Test Scores

SAT code: 2821
ACT code: 3722

Request official scores from the College Board and/or ACT as soon as you are notified that you are a Finalist. Do NOT use the rush reporting service.

Swarthmore requires either the SAT and 2 SAT Subject Tests or the ACT Plus Writing or the SAT and the ACT (with or without Writing).

Prospective engineers are strongly encouraged to take the Match Level 2 SAT Subject Test. Read more about Swarthmore's testing policy.

2. Official Transcripts

3.

2015-2016 CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE

CSS code: 2821
Available Oct. 1

If your parents are divorced or separated:

  • Your noncustodial parent must submit the online Noncustodial PROFILE using the login ID and password that will be emailed to you when you complete the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE.
  • Your noncustodial parent must also submit copies of their 2013 federal tax returns with all schedules, attachments, W-2 Forms, and other earnings statements.
  • If you do not have any contact with your noncustodial parent, then you may submit a request to waive the requirement of their financial information. Download the Noncustodial Parent Waiver Petition.
4. A copy of your parents’ 2013 federal income tax returns

Signed, with all schedules, attachments, W-2 forms and other earning statements. Include personal and corporate partnership tax returns.

Mail to the Financial Aid Office (see contact info in Additional Info below). Send by regular mail only (no faxing, overnight mail, or email).

5. 2013 W-2 Wage Statements and/or Form 1099 Income Statement

Photocopies are needed from both parents (and stepparents, if any). The 2013 Form 1099 statement details income for contract earnings, retirement, pension, annuity, Social Security income (needed for all household members), unemployment benefits, or disability benefits. (Do not send any Form 1099 forms related to interest or dividend income.)

6. Year-end, financial 2013 Paycheck Stubs

Sometimes called "pay advice" or "pay statement" by employers. Photocopies are needed from both parents (and stepparents, if any). This document will detail all taxed and untaxed compensation as well as all deductions for the full 2013 year. It may be a photocopy of an actual paycheck stub or a copy of an on-line full 2013 summary from employer's website. This is not the same as the W-2 wage statement - both documents are required to complete your aid application.

7. 2014 Most Recent Paycheck Stubs

Photocopies are needed from both parents (and stepparents, if any).
