As of fall 2015, Trinity College does not require the SAT or ACT for all students applying for Admission. The College is test-optional, providing students the opportunity to present application material that accurately reflects their diverse academic talents and potential. Students can submit either the SAT or the ACT if they feel their results best represent their academic potential. The admissions committee makes no assumptions as to why some students choose to submit scores while others don't. All students are given equal consideration in the admission process.
International students may need to demonstrate English proficiency by submitting their results from either the IETLS or TOEFL. We require the IELTS or TOEFL from students whose native language is not English and/or who have not studied for at least three years at a high school for which English is the language of instruction.
If you decide to submit test scores, it is your responsibility to have the test scores sent to the Admissions Office. Request official scores from the College Board and/or ACT. Do NOT use the rush reporting service.
