Policy Regarding Outside Funding
Outside funding may be used to reduce a student's self-help (work). If total funding exceeds $2,850, students may ask the donor organization(s) for a deferment to subsequent academic years. Outside funding in excess of $2,850 that are not deferred will be used to reduce or eliminate University scholarships.

Policy on Health Insurance
If a student is not covered by a parental plan, the University Scholarship will be increased to pay for the $2,265 University Student health plan. The Cost of Attendance above does not include the University Student health plan.

Policy on Travel Allowance
Because of the national enrollment at Notre Dame, the transportation allowance will generally range from a minimum of $500 to about $1,000, with $750 representing the approximate midpoint. Money for travel cannot be advanced prior to the start of the semester so students need to plan for their travel expenses.

Requirements Associated with Maintaining this Award
Students must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress and submit the FAFSA and CSS Profile annually by April 25 as outlined on the financial aid website in order to maintain the match scholarship award.
