Official Test Scores

Students are encouraged to submit official test scores from the College Board and/or ACT. There is no need to use the rush reporting service. Students may also have their high school guidance counselor submit official score reports directly to Emory or an official high school transcript that includes test scores.

Emory requires either the SAT or the ACT. The essay/writing section of the SAT and ACT are optional.  SAT II Subject exams are not required, but students are welcome to submit them with their application. Further details:  http://apply.emory.edu/apply/exam.php.

Official Transcripts

All transcripts must be submitted directly to Emory Office of Admission by your high school guidance counselor or a high school administrator. They may email your official transcripts to: emoryquestbridge@listserv.cc.emory.edu.

2018-2019 CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE

Please select “Early Decision 1” as your admission application type.

If your parents are divorced or separated:

  • Each parent will need to complete their own CSS Profile application. Your parents should not share their CollegeBoard log-in credentials with each other so as to keep their financial information private.
  • Your noncustodial parent must also submit copies of their 2016 federal tax returns with all schedules, attachments, W-2 forms and other earnings and/or year-end benefit statements. See directions below.
  • If you do not have any contact with your noncustodial parent, then you may submit a request to waive the requirement of their financial information. Please download the Noncustodial Parent Waiver Petition and submit it to IDOC (see below).

A copy of your parents’ 2016 federal income tax returns

Once you complete the CSS Profile, you will be given instructions on how to submit your parents’ 2016 federal tax returns through the CollegeBoard IDOC service. Please include all schedules, attachments, W-2 forms and other earnings and/or year-end benefit statements. Please include personal and business returns if applicable.

Your noncustodial parent must also submit copies of their 2016 federal tax return with all schedules, attachments, W-2 forms and other earnings and/or year-end benefit statements.

Do not submit directly to Emory as they will not be accepted or posted.

Options following the Match

Early Decision, Emory Scholars, Oxford College

Finalists who do not match are automatically considered for the Emory University Scholars Program under the Regular Decision admission plan. Students do not need to submit any additional paperwork or documentation for this program. 

Finalists who do not match may apply for Early Decision to Emory through the Early Decision II admission plan.  Finalists interested in applying for Early Decision II, need to complete Emory's Application Change Form

Regular Decision

Finalists who rank Emory but did not match will be considered for admission to both first-year classes of Emory University - Emory College of Arts and Sciences (in Atlanta) and Oxford College (in Oxford, GA, 38 miles east of the city) through Regular Decision. 

Please submit an updated transcript and any relevant updates.

If you no longer wish to be considered for either Emory College of Arts and Sciences or Oxford College, you must contact the Admissions Office to withdraw your application (see Contact Information below).

Regular Decision Requirements:

Step 1: Select Emory on the QuestBridge Regular Decision Form on your Application Management page between November 6 - December 11. Only check the box if you fully intend to submit a complete application to Emory (including all of the materials detailed in the table below).

Step 2: Submit all additional required application and financial materials to Emory according to your status by the deadlines listed below.
