Common Application or Coalition Application with Notre Dame Writing Supplement, and all supporting documents

Submit along with official transcripts, Secondary School Report, and one teacher recommendation.

1) Follow the instructions on the Common Application Fee Waiver portion of the application by indicating "Yes" you qualify. 

2) Select "I can provide a supporting statement from a school official, college access counselor, financial aid officer, or community leader.

Within the Notre Dame supplement application on the fee waiver page please select "Yes" I am a Questbridge Applicant.

Official Test Scores

Request official scores from the College Board and/or ACT as soon as you are notified that you are a Finalist. Do NOT use the rush reporting service.

Notre Dame requires the SAT or the ACT (Optional essay for the redesigned SAT and Writing section for the ACT not required). SAT Subject Test and/or AP Exam scores are not required.

Notre Dame will also accept official standardized test scores included with a student's official high school transcript. Please ensure that the official high school transcript includes a copy of the SAT or ACT "school report" or an official high school record of a student's scores including test type and date.

Applicants enrolled in a home school curriculum are encouraged to submit SAT Subject Test scores, particularly in the areas of history, foreign language and science.

2018-2019 CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE

If your parents are divorced or separated:

  • Your noncustodial parent must submit the online Noncustodial PROFILE using the login ID and password that will be emailed to you when you complete the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE.
  • Your noncustodial parent must also submit copies of their 2016 federal tax returns with all schedules, attachments, W-2 Forms, and other earnings statements. Include personal and corporate/partnership tax returns. These documents should be uploaded through the College Board IDOC service portal. 
  • If you do not have any contact with your noncustodial parent, then you may submit a request to waive the requirement of their financial information. Your request must include a statement from a third party who can verify your situation. Download the Noncustodial Parent Waiver Petition. You should upload the Noncustodial Parent Waiver Petition through the College Board IDOC service portal.

A copy of your parents’ 2016 federal income tax returns, and other supporting financial documents

Upload financial documents electronically through the College Board IDOC service portal, which will be available beginning November 1.

Upload a copy of your parents' 2016 federal income tax returns (signed, with all schedules, attachments, W-2 forms and other earning statements). Include personal and corporate partnership tax returns.

Finalists who do not match will automatically receive an Early Action Decision. 

If you no longer wish to be considered, you must contact the Undergraduate Admissions Office at admissions@nd.edu to withdraw your application. Be sure to include your full legal name, school name, and date of birth. 

Regular Decision

Follow the instructions below to apply through Regular Decision.

Regular Decision Requirements:

Step 1: Select Notre Dame on the QuestBridge Regular Decision Form on your Application Management page between November 6 - December 11. Only check the box if you fully intend to submit a complete application to Notre Dame (including all of the materials detailed in the table below).

Step 2: Submit all additional required application and financial materials to Notre Dame according to your status by the deadlines listed below.
