Williams College

QuestBridge Scholars Network at Williams

Welcome to the Williams QSN Chapter page! Although Williams is a small college, our QuestBridge network is big and strong! With approximately 215 scholars on campus, the QB community at Williams is a source of pride and encouragement for Quest Ephs. We are a recognized student group under the college’s Office of Student Life. As stated in our constitution, the Williams QSN Chapter strives to create a space of support for low-income students on campus. Our Chapter’s Ambassadors Program also plans on coordinating with other similar on-campus student groups on speaking engagements with high schools in the area, further spreading knowledge of QuestBridge and other information pertaining to college admissions.

The Williams QSN Chapter maintains a number of relationships: we work with the First Generation students group since many QuestBridge Scholars at Williams are also first generation. We also collaborate with Matriculate, a nonprofit that creates virtual mentoring for high school students. In addition to our partnerships, we have also sponsored workshops on various undergraduate job and internship opportunities with the College’s Career Center. Other opportunities our chapter provides are Quest Mentoring and service projects through the college's Center for Learning in Action (CLiA).

Over the years, we have also created a number of traditions the chapter still follows. One of these traditions includes celebrating Thanksgiving with another chapter; we call this event "QuestGiving." We also take some time from the busy work week to connect with one another through our weekly chapter dinner meetups. Lastly, stemming from the Williams tradition of Storytime, we host Quest Storytime to tell the realities of our shared experiences as low-income students in a top institution. In addition, some of our noteworthy events from this past year include our Welcome Event, as well as a Senior Celebration, which highlights the achievements of graduating QB Scholars. We are proud of our community of Scholars and hope you will be joining our chapter soon!
