Yale SOM Supplement

After your QuestBridge application has been forwarded to Yale in mid-September, you will receive login instructions for Yale SOM’s admissions system where you can complete your Yale Supplement and track the status of your Yale SOM Application. The supplement will ask for some additional information about your educational, professional, and personal background. You will also be asked to respond to one of these three essay prompts:

  1. Describe the biggest commitment you have ever made. Why is this commitment meaningful to you and what actions have you taken to support it?

  2. Describe the community that has been most meaningful to you. What is the most valuable thing you have gained from being a part of this community and what is the most important thing you have contributed to this community?

  3. Describe the most significant challenge you have faced. How have you confronted this challenge and how has it shaped you as a person?

More information about the essay and the other components of the Yale SOM MBA Application can be found on the Yale SOM website.

Video Questions and Behavioral Assessment

After submitting the Yale SOM Application Supplement, you will be led to your personalized Yale SOM Application Status Page. Here you will find links to complete the final two components of the Yale SOM Application, which are also due on September 16

Video Questions:

A link to the video questions will appear on your status page. The video questions are not a substitute for the interview. Instead, they provide a unique way for us to assess your communication skills and enable us to create a more dynamic, multi-dimensional profile of each candidate. The exercise will take about 30 minutes to complete and is due September 16. If you require accessibility accommodations, please contact [email protected].

Behavioral Assessment:

A link to the behavioral assessment will appear on your status page. The assessment is a series of questions that will take about 25 minutes to complete and is due September 16. It does not require any knowledge or advanced preparation; you’ll simply be presented with pairs of statements and asked to select the ones that best match your own behaviors.

Interview

Interviews are by invitation. After the steps above are complete, Yale SOM will begin reviewing your application and will email you if the Admissions Committee invites you to interview.
