Official Transcripts

If official transcripts were submitted for the QB College Match review, it is not necessary to resubmit them for Scripps’ consideration. If official transcripts were not submitted, please send your official transcripts directly to Scripps (see Contact Information below).

Standardized Test Scores

Scripps requires the SAT Reasoning or ACT scores. International students for whom English is not their first language must also submit either the TOEFL or IELTS.

Scripps College accepts self-reported test scores or official score reports for the ACT or SAT. Students can submit their self-reported test scores through the Common Application, QuestBridge Application, or through the Self-Reported Test Scores form in the Application Status Portal form checklist. Students who are admitted and enroll at Scripps will be required to submit an official score report. If there are any discrepancies between self-reported test scores and official score reports, this may affect a students offer of admission.

Please select "Early Decision" as your admission application type.

If your parents own a business or farm:

  • Submit the CSS Profile Business/Farm Supplement.

If your parents are divorced or separated:

  • Both parents will complete their own CSS Profile application.
  • Each parent will access their CSS Profile application with different College Board login credentials.
  • When you complete your CSS Profile, you will specify the name and email address of your noncustodial parent and the College Board will email them the information they need to complete their CSS Profile.
  • Under certain circumstances, students may appeal to have the CSS Profile requirement from the noncustodial parent waived by completing the Noncustodial Parent Waiver Form.

A copy of your parents’ 2017 federal income tax returns

Use the College Board’s Institutional Document Service (IDOC) to submit all supporting documentation.

  • When you complete the CSS Profile, you will receive a notification from the College Board directing you to submit your requirement documents to the IDOC online service.
  • Signed copies of Parent(s) 2017 Tax Returns including all schedules, attachments, W-2 forms and other earning statements.
  • Signed copies of Parent(s) 2017 Tax Returns including all schedules, attachments, W-2 forms and other earning statements.
  • Non-Tax Filers must include a Non-Tax Filing Statements and all W2 forms. If needed, Non-Tax Filing Statements are available from the IDOC website.
  • All parent business owners or partnership owners are asked to submit:
    • College Board Business/Farm Supplement form for each business or partnership.
    • Signed copies of 2017 Corporate and/or Partnership tax returns and K-1 Schedule for each corporation or partnership.

Options following the Match

Early Decision

Finalists who do not match may apply Early Decision to Scripps through Early Decision II.

Interested applicants must submit the Scripps QuestBridge Application Form (select Early Decision II), updated official transcripts, and any new official SAT or ACT scores by January 1 to be considered. Students must also complete the Early Decision Agreement Form. Email questbridge@scrippscollege.edu to receive a PDF of the form.

Finalists who did not rank any colleges may apply Early Decision to Scripps through Early Decision II. Follow the instructions indicated above. 

Regular Decision

Follow the instructions below to apply through Regular Decision.

Regular Decision Requirements:

Step 1: Select Scripps on the QuestBridge Regular Decision Form on your Application Management page between November 5 - December 10. Only check the box if you fully intend to submit a complete application to Scripps (including all of the materials detailed in the table below).

Step 2: Submit all additional required application and financial materials directly to Scripps as detailed in the table below.
