Finalists who rank Harvard College
If you are a Finalist who ranked Harvard College, your National College Match application will be sent to Harvard College, and you will need to submit the following requirements to the school by November 1. If you have questions after reviewing the information below, please reach out to the school directly.
Requirements
Harvard College Application Status Portal Activation
QuestBridge will send Finalists’ applications to college partners on October 21, and Harvard College may need a couple of days to import them into their system. Once processed, Harvard College will then email you instructions to log in and activate your applicant portal, where you can track the status of the materials you submit.
Once you have activated your Applicant Portal, complete the Harvard QuestBridge Supplement by November 1.
Additional transcripts are not required for National College Match consideration. All students, including those who match with Harvard, will be required to submit the QuestBridge Midyear Report when it is available, typically in January or February of their senior year. Midyear reports will require first semester or first trimester grades.
Harvard College requires the SAT or ACT to meet its standardized testing requirements. In exceptional cases when those tests are not accessible, one of the following can meet the requirement: AP Exam Results, IB Actual or Predicted Scores, GCSE/A-Level Actual or Predicted Results, National Leaving Exams Results or Predictions. Any testing results can be self-reported on the Harvard QuestBridge Supplement. If admitted, you will be required to submit official test scores.
2026-2027 CSS Profile
CSS code: 3434
Available Oct. 1
Please select “Regular Decision” as your admission application round
If your parents are married or live together, they will file one CSS Profile. If they are separated or divorced, each parent will fill out their own CSS Profile. If you do not have a relationship with one parent or are unable to ask a parent to send in their financial information, you can request a waiver by filling out a Parent Information Sheet and including a letter from a third party. Upload the completed Parent Information Sheet and third-party letter to IDOC.
Parents’ 2024 income tax document for both parents: for US students, this is usually the signed 1040 Federal Income Tax Return with all pages and schedules, including W-2 Forms. If either of your parents has an interest in a business or farm, submit a Business/Farm Supplement Form for each business and/or farm along with the 2024 business tax return for each business and/or farm.
If your parents do not file tax returns, please submit a Tax Non-Filer Statement, and whatever documentation they do have, such as a wage statement, salary certificate, or letter from their employer(s) stating annual income.
Send using College Board's IDOC Service, which you may access after submitting the CSS Profile.
Please submit the FAFSA directly to Harvard as soon as it is available. Only students who are US Citizens, Permanent Residents, or other Eligible Non-Citizens will file the FAFSA.
Finalists who are not matched with any college or university may not apply in the Restrictive Early Action round. Unmatched Finalists will be automatically considered in the Regular Decision round.
If you are a Finalist not ranking any colleges (meaning you are not participating in the College Match), you may apply to Harvard through the Restrictive Early Action round (which is non-binding) which has a deadline of November 1, or the Regular Decision round which has a deadline of January 1.
All students are eligible for the same financial aid program which meets all students’ demonstrated need.
All Finalists who rank Harvard but did not match with a binding college will automatically have their application moved and considered during Regular Decision. Please submit any additional information or relevant updates through the Applicant Portal. Finalists should not submit a Common Application or Coalition Application.
If you no longer wish to be considered for admission to Harvard College, you can withdraw your application via the Applicant Portal.
