If you are a Finalist who ranked Middlebury, your National College Match application will be sent to Middlebury, and you will need to submit the following requirements to the school by November 1. If you have questions after reviewing the information below reach out to the school directly.

Requirements

Middlebury College Application Status Portal Activation

QuestBridge will send Finalists’ applications to college partners on October 16, and Middlebury College may need a couple of days to import them into their system. Once processed, Middlebury College will then email you instructions to log in and activate your applicant portal, where you can track the status of the materials you submit.

Middlebury College QuestBridge Questionnaire

After your QuestBridge application has been forwarded to Middlebury, you will receive instructions to complete the Middlebury College QuestBridge Questionnaire. This questionnaire will ask you Middlebury specific questions. This form is required to complete and review your application.

Official Transcript(s)

Transcripts uploaded to the QuestBridge application are accepted as official, or your high school counselor can send transcripts directly to the Admissions Office.

Middlebury is currently test-optional. You do not have to submit standardized test scores with your application. A lack of scores will not factor into your application review. Please select Regular Decision as your admission application type.

If your parents are divorced or separated:

  • Both of your biological/adoptive parent(s) will complete their own CSS Profile with different log-in credentials. It is highly recommended that the student and custodial parent start the CSS Profile first, as the non-custodial cannot submit information until the student selects a school that requires the submission of non-custodial parent information.
  • Your non-custodial parent must submit the online Noncustodial Profile after creating a separate College Board account.

2023 Federal Tax Returns and Forms for Custodial and Non-Custodial Parent (if applicable) 

Submit a signed copy of your parents' 2023 federal tax returns with all schedules, attachments, W-2 Forms, and other earnings statements. Include personal and/or corporate and partnership tax returns.

Your non-custodial parent must also submit copies of their 2023 federal income tax returns, signed with all schedules, attachments, W-2 forms and other earning statements.

2025-2026 FAFSA

Submit as soon as available

The FAFSA will open this fall. Please complete the FAFSA as soon as it is available and submit it directly to Middlebury

US Citizens and Eligible Noncitizens.

Early Decision

Students who rank Middlebury for the Match may not apply Early Decision to Middlebury.

Regular Decision

All Finalists who ranked Middlebury for the Match, but did not match to a binding college will automatically have their applications moved into the Regular Decision process. Please submit an updated transcript showing final grades earned in the fall semester and any relevant updates.

If you no longer wish to be considered, you must contact the Admission Office to withdraw your application (see Contact Information below).

Regular Decision Requirements:

Step 1: Select Middlebury College on the QuestBridge Regular Decision Form on your Application Management page between November 4 - December 9. Only check the box if you fully intend to submit a complete application to Middlebury College (including all of the materials detailed in the table below).

Step 2: Activate your Middlebury College Applicant Portal. QuestBridge will send Finalists’ applications to Middlebury College on December 12 and Middlebury College may need a couple days to import them into their system. Use the Middlebury College applicant portal, sent to you via email, to track the status of your materials you submit to Middlebury College.

Step 3: Submit all additional required application and financial materials by the applicable deadlines directly to Middlebury College as detailed in the table below.
