Introduction to Kellogg

Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University is located in Evanston, IL, a vibrant lakefront town just a short distance from Chicago. With an emphasis on collaboration, the Kellogg curriculum equips students with the skills they will need to make an impact as a leader. The strong community combined with access to a large number of opportunities across industries make Kellogg a unique environment to pursue a top-tier MBA degree.

Kellogg students are able to choose from 7 majors and over 200 elective courses to customize their curriculum to their individual goals. From Marketing to Strategy to Managing Organizations, the variety of majors leads to a strong academic background across several in-demand fields. Specializations such as Analytics and AI, Healthcare, and Private Equity and Venture Capital address evolving areas with strong student interest and recruiter demand. The curriculum’s team-based learning approach emphasizes the collaborative nature of management, while experiential opportunities like Global Initiatives in Management (GIM) immerse students in hands-on consulting fieldwork in countries such as South Korea, New Zealand, Ghana, and Brazil.

With ample experiential learning opportunities and more than 100 student-led clubs, Kellogg is home to a robust community of fellow students. Through KWEST, incoming students have the chance to travel in small groups to nearly 40 countries to get to know each other before starting classes. Once on campus, a variety of cultural and affinity groups and community events foster a culture of belonging.

Kellogg graduates are landing careers that matter, whether in consulting, finance, tech, or beyond. The Kellogg Career Management Center works with students from the time they set foot on campus to connect them with top employers and the network of over 70,000 Kellogg alumni. For those pursuing healthcare, Healthcare at Kellogg (HCAK) offers experiential learning like the Healthcare Deep Dive, and signature events such as the Kellogg Healthcare Conference. Entrepreneurship is a growing path for graduates, with opportunities to explore ventures through programs such as the Zell Fellows and Levy Inspiration Grants and Treks.
