Finalists who rank Pomona College
If you are a Finalist who ranked Pomona College, your National College Match application will be sent to Pomona College, and you will need to submit the following requirements to the school by November 1. If you have questions after reviewing the information below, please reach out to the school directly.
Requirements
Pomona College Application Status Portal Activation
QuestBridge will send Finalists’ applications to college partners on October 21, and Pomona College may need a couple of days to import them into their system. Once processed, Pomona College will then email you instructions to log in and activate your applicant portal, where you can track the status of the materials you submit.
Once your QuestBridge Application has been forwarded to Pomona College, you will receive an email with instructions for activating your Pomona Portal account. Upon activation, you will gain access to the QuestBridge Match Supplement.
As part of this Supplement, you will be asked to:
- Identify up to two academic programs of interest
- Indicate whether you identify as a first-generation college student, based on Pomona’s definition
- Specify whether you wish to have your test scores considered in the application review process
Please note that no additional essays are required in this Form.
If your high school counselor submitted an official transcript to QuestBridge as part of your application, Pomona College will accept that transcript as official.
Please log in to your Pomona Portal to verify that your application is considered complete for Pomona. A green check mark next to “Official Transcript” indicates that your transcript has been received and accepted. If there is no green check mark, your transcript is considered missing and must be submitted directly to Pomona. Official high school transcript(s) must be mailed or emailed by a school administrator to [email protected] with the subject line College Match Finalists, Full Legal Name, Official Transcript.
All applicants—including those who are matched with Pomona—are required to submit the QuestBridge Midyear Report, which must include grades from your first trimester/semester of senior year.
Pomona College has adopted a permanently test-optional policy for both first-year and transfer applicants. Under this policy, submission of SAT or ACT scores is not required. However, applicants may choose to self-report their scores on the application if they wish to have them considered.
If you choose to submit test scores, Pomona accepts either self-reported or official scores. For applicants who submit scores, Pomona will superscore both the SAT and ACT—considering the highest section scores in each subsection across multiple test dates.
For QuestBridge Match applicants, Pomona automatically accepts the test scores submitted to QuestBridge as self-reported. To confirm Pomona has received your scores, please log in to your Pomona Portal. A green check mark next to “ACT Score” or “SAT Score” indicates that your scores have been received and accepted. If no green check mark appears, you only need to submit scores if you would like them included in the admission review process.
2026-2027 CSS Profile
CSS code: 4607
Available Oct. 1
The CSS Profile is required for both biological parents. Domestic undergraduate students may submit a CSS Profile for free if:
- Family adjusted gross income is up to $100,000
- You qualified for an SAT fee waiver
- You are an orphan or ward of the court under the age of 24
Pomona College does not provide CSS Profile fee waivers.
Read the FAQs for more details on the CSS Profile Fee Waiver program.
If your biological parents are divorced, separated or living apart:
- Your non-custodial parent must submit the CSS Profile application. The non-custodial parent will log in and create a College Board account for themselves in order to complete the application. Your parent will enter your name and email address to link their application to your account. More detailed instructions about the CSS Profile for divorced or separated families can be found here.
- A petition to waive the non-custodial parent requirement is available if extenuating circumstances prevent the collection of non-custodial parent information.
- Download the CSS Profile Non-Custodial Parent Waiver.
Submit a signed copy of your parents 2024 federal income tax return including all schedules, attachments, W-2 forms, K-1 statements and other earning statements. If your parents own or operate a business partnership or corporation, include a copy of the 2024 partnership or corporate tax returns. All tax documents are uploaded to the College Boards electronic documentation service: IDOC. IDOC is available 1-2 days after submitting the CSS Profile. Please plan accordingly so that you can access IDOC and upload your documents in advance of the November 1 deadline.
If your parents are divorced, separated or living apart, your noncustodial parent will also upload a copy of their signed 2024 federal income tax return, including all schedules, attachments, W-2 forms, K-1 statements or other earnings statements. Business owners or partners submit a copy of the 2024 partnership or corporate tax form.
If you meet the requirements to waive submission of the CSS Profile you will not have access to IDOC and will submit tax documents directly to Pomona. Please mail tax forms to the admissions office as email is not a secure method for submitting tax documents that often include personally identifiable information.
