Skidmore College
Finalists who rank Skidmore
If you are a Finalist who ranked Skidmore, your National College Match application will be sent to Skidmore, and you will need to submit the following requirements to the school by November 1. If you have questions after reviewing the information below, please view the FAQs for Skidmore applicants or reach out to the school directly.
Requirements
Skidmore College Application Status Portal Activation
QuestBridge will send Finalists’ applications to college partners on October 16, and Skidmore College may need a couple of days to import them into their system. Once processed, Skidmore College will then email you instructions to log in and activate your applicant portal, where you can track the status of the materials you submit.
Have your counselor or a school official email official transcript(s) to the Admissions Office (see Contact Information below). Please note that Skidmore also requires all students to submit midyear or first and second trimester grades.
Submitting test scores is optional.
Students may apply with or without SAT or ACT scores as Skidmore has been test-optional since 2016 and we do not require SAT or ACT scores.
QuestBridge applications will be reviewed without scores. Applicants who believe their SAT or ACT scores represent their academic potential may email [email protected] and ask for scores to be considered during the process. All applicants will be given equal consideration in their holistic evaluation approach.
Prospective majors for Dance, Music, and Studio Art are not required to submit a portfolio. If you choose to submit a portfolio, it must be uploaded through your Skidmore Applicant Portal by November 8.
2025-2026 CSS Profile
CSS code: 2815
Available: Oct. 1
Please select Early Decision as your admission application type.
If your parents do not live together, each parent must complete a separate CSS Profile. It is highly recommended that the student and the “custodial” parent start the CSS Profile application before the “non-custodial” parent does so. If either (or both parents) remarry, that parent’s current spouse’s information also needs to be provided on the CSS Profile.
If you do not have any contact with your non-custodial parent, then you may submit a request to waive the requirement of their financial information. Download the Non-Custodial Parent Waiver Petition.
Skidmore College does not require tax returns except in specific cases (those applying through their Opportunity Program).
2025-2026 FAFSA
FAFSA code: 002814
To be considered for a Skidmore grant, prospective students are asked to complete the College Board's CSS Profile. Prospective students do not need to submit a FAFSA application to be considered for a Skidmore grant.
The FAFSA is not required until you’ve been accepted and if you choose to enroll.
Finalists who do not match may apply to Skidmore through Early Decision II. If you are considering Early Decision II, please know this is a binding application plan.
Finalists interested in applying Early Decision II simply need to email the admissions office by the end of January and request to change their application from Regular Decision to Early Decision II.
Finalists not matched with Skidmore will automatically be considered for Regular Decision. Candidates may withdraw their application at any time using the Withdrawal Form in their Skidmore Applicant Portal.
Skidmore's Regular Decision deadline is January 8. Please review their Regular Decision applicant information below for more detail.
