Request official scores from the College Board and/or ACT. Do NOT use the rush reporting service.

The latest test date administrations are October (SAT) and September (ACT) if ranking Tufts for the College Match.

Tufts requires either the SAT and 2 SAT Subject Tests or the ACT. Finalists for the Match who have not had the opportunity to complete SAT Subject Tests may still be considered for admission, with the expectation that the tests will be taken later in the senior year.

If you are applying to Arts & Sciences and planning to submit the SAT, you may submit whichever 2 SAT Subject Tests you like.

If you are applying to the School of Engineering with the SAT, it is strongly recommended you submit either the Chemistry or Physics SAT Subject Tests, plus a math test.

TOEFL is required for any student attending an overseas school where the language of instruction if not English.

If your parents are divorced or separated:

  • Your noncustodial parent must submit the online Noncustodial PROFILE using the login ID and password that will be emailed to you when you complete the CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE.
  • If you do not have any contact with your noncustodial parent, then you may submit a request to waive the requirement of their financial information. Download here.

Financial Documents

Submit to IDOC. This will include a copy of your parents' 2016 federal income tax returns (signed, with all schedules, attachments, W-2s and other earnings statements). Include personal and corporate/partnership tax returns. If your parents did not file a tax return, please have them submit a Non Tax Filer Statement via IDOC. If you are unable to submit the IDOC, please fax materials to the Student Services Center (Contact Information).

Options following the Match

Early Decision

If Tufts is your first choice and you wish to apply through Early Decision Round 2, please email william.rison@tufts.edu. An Early Decision Agreement must be signed and submitted by you and have the signature of your parent or guardian, and guidance counselor.  The Early Decision Agreement for QuestBridge Finalists is available here.  This is a binding commitment with an application deadline of January 1, 2018.  You will receive an admissions decision in early to mid February.

Regular Decision

All Finalists who rank Tufts for the College Match, but did not match to a binding college will automatically have their applications moved into the Regular Decision process. 

If you no longer wish to be considered, you must contact the Admissions Office to withdraw your application (see Contact Information below).

Regular Decision Requirements:

Step 1: Select Tufts on the QuestBridge Regular Decision Form on your Application Management page between November 6 - December 11. Only check the box if you fully intend to submit a complete application to Tufts (including all of the materials detailed in the table below).

Step 2: Submit all additional required application and financial materials to Tufts according to your status by the deadlines listed below.
